As you may have already heard, I just bought the original Zig Zaggin’ Wagen slalom car pinstripped & lettered by the late Shaky Jake... I’m very happy and excited with that as you can imagine! The car will be soon on its way to France!

Of course, I immediately looked for old pictures, stories... Well, you see what I mean... While browsing through my archives, I found a picture (posted on the Internet a while back on the DKP website If I remember correctly) of a period Gasser called “My Way”. Wow, that lettering, colors, and paint scheme is quite the same on the Zig Zaggin’ Wagen... Interesting... While detailing the gasser, I recognized the Shaky Jake signature on the left rear fender.

Did Shakey lettered others old gassers or slalom cars back in the days? I know of course he was very active at the Bug-in with competing in the “Worst of Show” class, but other than that???

Of course, pictures are welcomed!

Thanks for readin Wink

I can give you a face to match the "My Way" car. Tom Walton, former NBVA member and very successful bracket 1 racer.

Shakey would pinstripe whatever you brought to him, or he could drive to with his mobile service.
