Is there a way to put 90.5s in a case cut for 94s? Anyone have exp with the 92mm thick wall P&Cs that will fit a 94 cut case? Kicking around options for the Manx motor on a dreary Tuesday at work.

Thanks,

Perhaps the cylinder bases can be sleeved up to 94mm specs?  I am no expert, however.

I just got a quote on the thick wall 92s which will fit my case. The price is pretty reasonable, I may just go with those.

Thanks,

I decided to go with the thick wall 92s. Ordered a set form DRD. I thought $234 out the door with the proper hone was a good deal compared to the price of Cimas. So it looks like I will end up with an 1835 instead of the 1914, a true '70s size motor for the Buggy. Next up, carbs & heads.

Good deal.  I will probabbly get a set of them for something, someday.  I like the idea because the 92s have sort of become overlooked.  Plus now you can go post on theSamba.com that you are running 92s and everyone can try to beat you up...

I am hoping that they will run a bit cooler than the 94s.

my 94mm motor in my car right now is the "coolest" running engine ever in my car. Oh wait, I've only used 87's and 94's... never mind  Roll Eyes

Humm, I just bought a CSP linkage for a set of IDFs. Wonder if they will work on DCNFs. How much are the manifolds ported? I was planning to have Jeff D. do my heads and I would have to see if he could work with the manifolds or not. Shoot me a pm with the price.

So what Brand are they? A&A??

Yes they are AAs but I spoke with Daren at DRD a good bit before ordering them and he says he has had good exp with them. And I don't plan to run above 8 comp with them anyway. That way I can run tractor gas in them if I have too.  Grin

Thanks,
