As my engine is just about to be built, I have the chance of going with a dry sump set up.

I currently have a berg pump, JC power flow cover, BERG sump.



But...

I have the option of getting a very good dry sump pump and ditching all three of the above.

Is it worth it for a street/race car?

Don't need any concerns regarding exhaust clearance as there won't be any. Smiley

anybody have any clue?  I know i haven't and having got off the phone with Jick, he says i will probably do it anyway just cuz.  but i don't want to waste money, so come on guys, any input?

 For a street car that does not see high G´s I would say no.

For any race application I would start arguing for how important the oil isupply s in our ACVW´s.
I am sure that oil starvation in dragracing with deep sumps is happening often and is not fully understood.
I am not saying always but often.
The quality of the de-aerated oil is also making a difference.

Now the cost, weight, complication of all hoses, location of the tank etc holds many people back.

I hope I helped you and did not make the choice even more difficult?
