I vote that it stays here. It's dechromed, has eye pleasing wheels/tires, huge engine topped off with high performance carbs. Yep, it's Cal Look. What a great car. I'll contact my friend, Jim, in Tejas... he races many different types of Porsches and knows his history with those cars. Hopefully, I can get some information for you, Fabian.

hey Nico86, the "Carrera" engine has very very little with the pushrod 356 engine and even less with VW Type 1. Has 2 cams per bank (4 total) driven off bevel gears and shafts...dry sump oiling....timing gears @ flywheel end of crank....twin plug per cyl....early versions were built up Hirth roller bearing cranks/1 pc rods....dual entry radial fan cooling....most potent versions were good for about 100hp/liter for hours on end in grueling events (Le Mans, 1000km Nurburgring, Targa...etc). Last version was Type 587 1966ccm used in 904 Carrera GTS, made around 185hp, 46IDM Webers, in excess of 340 deg intake cam timing.... one bad mother of a motor.
Check out Karl Ludvigsen's "Excellence Was Expected" for full story on motor, and the Lotus/Elva/Carrera.

At the Autosport show in the uK a few years ago there was an Elva-Porsche on display - pretty sure it was a 4-cam, but it was running 46IDAs anyway, which was what got my attention in the first place!
