Waterproofing a ghia

Hey Guys,
can somebody tell me if all ghias leak or is it just me?
the windows hardly close completely,
and I think I am getting water through rear and back window rubber (cal look rubber) and the doors !
and the seals are new or good condition

Driving in the rain can be a wet experience!

at least the car handles great and makes nice donuts

Ghia's are finicky. I think the seals we get today aren't 100% like original, so it gives you some work to do. The rear window usually leaks between the glass and the rubber, so a tiny bit of weatherstrip adhesive should take care of that. With the doors you need to adjust the glass/regulator, and the placement of the top rubber to get the best seal. It isn't fun, a lot of chasing your tail, but it can be done. Good luck

Neither of my Ghias leak. 1 is still on the original rubber, the other may have been replaced, but if it has it's the original style, not Cal-look.

The side windows are fiddly things and need adjusting to sit in the right place so that they sit flush against the rubber.
