Is it just me or has the price of good used IDAs fallen through the floor? It is almost more expensive to get a good set of IDFs or Dells now. I keep seeing good used Italian IDAs for less than $700.

It is an unfortunate cycle.  Prices are falling on cool stuff yet many of us can't take advantage of the good deals.  The spare cash just isn't there.

....maybe prices (on most things, not just carbs) are becoming a little more realistic after years of over inflation.

Shop wisely! Some of the so-called "good" deals are not so good. a set of IDAs for 700 or 600 or even $500 may be in need of full restoration and possibley parts stuck or loose shafts, poorly executed 3rd hole...etc.  A set of chokes and jet stacks will set you back quite a bit, and that "good" deal ain't so good when you need $200-$300 worth of parts just to get started.

The spanish,..made in 'blank' carbs are a good deal. Not Italian, but same carb for the most part. It is worth the time finding a complete unmolested set of IDAs and pay a few bucks more.

Beware, there's a pair on the Samba right now that appears to have one drain welded up.

Are you insinuating that there are dishonest people on the samba Shocked Shocked shocking!!! one might even say scandalous!!! I agree, the spanish webers work just fine, and I know I'm going to start a shitstorm here, but..... the empi carbs work fantastic now as well. That is of course if you can get past all the haters Embarrassed, but they are 2/3 the price for what amounts to the exact same thing
