really dig that series. all what you need to get started and never look back. no wonder all you guys were into callooks in the 70's and 80's, it was just the right thing to do.  Grin Grin

Just FYI about the Rags to Ripper engine. After putting about 70,000 miles on that particular engine, what finally gave up was one of the rod bolts......

This is where HOT VWs has repeatedly excelled over all the other VW publications over the years. Their technical articles have been the best since day one. Fun seeing this old article again.
