Hi there, as sen in many Cal Look VWs I just wondered if the Motolita steering wheels fitted were the Flat or Dished models, such as in Ivan Mc Cutcheon's and Hector Bonilla's 67 for example among many others.

I just love these wheels but before getting one I would prefer having info on them

Regards

I had a Grant woodrim in my car, on a Flat Four GTV boss, and it wasn't particularly dished. Unfortunately it only gave about 10mm of clearance betwen the wheel and the indicator stalk on the '67 column.
I hope the Nardi wheel I've just bought off ebay fits better! I've still got to get a boss - I think the Volksbits one should work.

I run a Nardi on one of those bosses and it works just fine, with no clearance issues. Nice wheels…

Homm, I'd read that Nardi source their bosses from another company, and as I've only paid pennies for the wheel and horn button, I didn't want to spend a fortune on the boss! Tight, me? Must be my Scottish side coming forward... Cheesy

Thanks Keith, that's exactly what I needed to know! Grin

Up!

Just wanted to have your opinion about black or chrome steering wheel, what about the boss?

When I used a flat Motolita wheel on my old '67, it interferred with the turn sign lever. So, I had to tweak the lever a bit.

Thanks for the info, I'm going for a dished in 14", but I'm wondering about what style (holes, thin slot, tear drop, plain) and also colour of the spokes/boss
