Hey There,

I was wondering if someone could help me out.  I own a 1954 bug and I heard it was in a hot vw's back issue. I think it was early 90's.  Here are some pictures of what it could of look like. The car is from Vanocouver British Columbia.

I'd like to know too!  Could it maybe have been VW trends?

I sold the orig builder most of the parts when I was working at the California Imports on Kingsway in Burnaby. That car was in it's first show at our Super Sunday event back in 91? I think it was Vw Trends that shot it as they also snaped a few shots of mine and a friends car.
Hope someone can find it for you.

Looking at those early photos of your car at the show, Hot VWs rarely does features on custom cars with hub caps. So, I would think if the car was shot at all, it was for VWTrends, probably at SIR during the old Bug-In days. I can tell you that they shot a lot of cars during that period of time, that never showed up in the magazine. But perhaps yours did!

It's in the November 1991 issue of VW trends !
The article is titled "54 BC".
I will see if I have any extra issues.
