I hate to sound like a salesman for this company, but I have to say I'm totally impressed with them. There was another thread about insurance companies a while back with some different opinions about each of them, most in europe or the uk. As most of you know, my daughters ghia got rear-ended about a month ago, yes the blue one I just refinished. Totally the other guys fault and his insurance (I'm not gonna name names, but it rhymes with STATE FARM)said " dont worry about it, get an estimate, we'll send out an adjuster and hanle everything". I thought cool, but I'm gonna call Hagerty just to keep them in the loop, right from the get go. They started a claim number and said if I have any problems with STATE FARM, call them back and they'll handle it. I got my estimate to fix it, it came to a very high number, but thats what it's gonna take to fix it, I called STATE FARM and told them i have an estimate. So they send out an adjuster on Monday to look at the car, on Tuesday they send out another adjuster that I still have to explain that you dont just bolt on new fenders and we're good to go, as he told me several times he knows nothing about these cars. A week goes by and nothing, I call the body shop to see if they called him, NO. Finally 8 days later I call them to see what's going on, they say" Oh Yeah, your check has been approved, it's going out monday". Cool, right? 2 days later I get the check, it's for almost $4000 less than my estimate!!!!! WTF!!! I call the body shop to see if he talked to them and agreed to take that, he said" nobody has called him" Im thinking this is BULLSHIT!! So I call Hagerty back and explain what's going on, they say "happens all the time, we'll take it from here, send the check back to STATE FARM". Next day an adjuster comes out to look at the car, day after that he's in contact with my body shop going over the estimate, 3 days later a check arrives that is only $1.45 off the estimate. HOLY SHIT am I happy!!! The car is getting fixed they are handling STATE FARM to get the full amount reimbursed to them, everyone is happy. Except STATE FARM.
I'd like everyone who has Hagerty to now they made the right choice. When I bought the insurance I could not believe how good the price was, but I thinking I will never have to use it since the cars dont get driven that much, so I'll probably never find out if they'll actually do what they promise when they sold it. They did that and more, I could not be more satisfied with them and would like to recommend them to all of you. It's nice that in this day and age there is still a company that follows thru on their promises. Smiley Smiley Smiley

A good friend was rear ended on his way from New York to a show in Florida and Hagerty covered his expenses and, paid the "agreed value" and allowed him to match the high bid for the wreck so he could buy it back.

He's "totally" satisfied.

Hit so had, it ripped the roof rack off.

This was a 58 that 6 months earlier was sitting in a garage since 1964.

He was OK, but his girlfriend was ejected out the side cargo door and broke both feet and got pretty banged up. Our local club had a fund raiser for them but he gave everything to his GF because Hagerty paid all his bills and he wasn't hurt.

Randy, Sorry to hear about your Ghia. Hopefully your daughter was not hurt. Thanks for the report on Haggerty. I have my car insured with them as well.
