So I have an old Berg 4 and can't find studs for it. Aside from the cheesy factor and the fact that the material is usually softer, are there any other downfalls to using all thread? Taylor

Taylor let me know if you can not locate them how many do you need. Do you need the sleeves for them.

Try using bolts instead of studs. Thread them from the case, down, and from inside the sump, down. A little tricky tightening them from inside, but I feel it is a much stronger setup than 6mm studs.

I would do that as it would make taking the sump plate easier but the sleeves are lodged in there pretty good. I would like to find some studs but I'm not against all thread as the torque is only like 10 lbs.

Taylor, call Berg, they have the older hardware. If you want to stay original. Talk to Mark V.

I talked to Tim about a year ago and he told me they had none and they would not be making any.
