Does anyone out there know if the compufire points replacement unit will work with a 6 volt sytem? I have looked all over the place and they dont advertise the operating voltage. The pertronix unit states that it works between 8-14 volts is the compufire the same? Huh

Sorry, I'm not sure about the Compu-Fire ignition.  But there is a version of the Crane Fireball that works OK on 6volts. I ran it for about 7 years on my Notchback with no problems, until I was moving from England to New Zealand and needed to sell the Notch. It broke down on the Test Drive; fortunatley the person still bought the car.

Pertronix does offer a 6 volt negative ground unit for the Bosch 009 Distributor.  I can supply this unit, but don't stock it as the sales just aren't there.  Should you need further info please send me a private e-mail.  john@royze.com
