I've got a set of 92mm Mahle pistons and cylinders, complete with a brand new set of rings.  I've gone through and started to hone the cylinders after checking them for roundness with a dial-bore gauge.  They all checked out, no issues at all in that department, but one of the cylinders seems to have a scoring mark maybe an inch or inch and a half in length.  I can't seem to get a fingernail in the mark, but wanted to know how extreme such a mark in a cylinder wall would deem the cylinder as junk?  My instincts tell me it should be fine, but I figured I'd throw it out there.

I'm guessing that since it's not "fingernail detectable" in depth then I should not worry?
