That's a pretty wild scene right there!  Obviously on actual city streets with concrete barriers.  Spaced out in a way to inflict lots of damage to a car that get's away from its driver.  Un-prepped "track" with lots of HP is a bit curious to me....  Don't get me wrong, I think its cool that a community would allow an event like that, but not exactly ideal conditions.

Do they do this often?

Also noticed 1 VW and 3 American V8 cars.  Didn't know Norway had some much US influence in its hot rods.

I hope it is OK for splitblitz that we`re drifting a bit from the topic:

Yes, legal street races are very popular in Norway and the main reason is of course that we have only 1 real drag strip. That drag strip have 4 races during a season + our own SCC. 9 out of 10 cars are American V8`s, hence why the split get so much attention. You know, people from Norway emigrated to the US until late 1960`s and we still have cities on the West Coast with 110V and where the main street is named 5th Avenue.

I guess it's the same though all the Nordic countries, if I remember correctly the biggest "V8 event" in the world is the Power Meet event in Sweden. 17000 cars last time; http://www.bigmeet.com/index.php
