Hi

Quick question, has anyone fitted one of these distributors before and what did they think?

Cheers

Have tried a couple. - Both had same problem. Timing was all over the place, causing erratic idle and detonation in the midrange where the cam came in. Tried at least 20 different settings. Lost 4 hp @ 6000 rpm. on one of the engines Went back to a hand adjusted 009 and gained the power immediately and got the nice idle back.

A friend of mine didīnt believe me and ordered anyways. Tried to make it right for 2 weeks. Finally threw the towel and sent it back.

My opinion, - It STINKS! Period. And not worth the money at all.

Thanks Guys.

Am currently have some strange issues with 009 with Petronix electronic points, it seems to stumble at lower revs - although it's better when coming back down from high revs.  Was trying to figure out solution and remembered reading about these.  It's only a 1776 in my daily driver - it's not smooth at all.

Itīs most likely a jetting problem. Not ignition.
