Guys,

I found a nice 3/8NPT to AN8 adapter where an oil temp sender can be put in. But now the questions is to use it after the oil pump or in the return line from the external oil cooler to the case? What is the temp is should worry about most?

Furthermore does anyone have an idea what temp a ceramic coated exhaust gets? This so I know if I can use black nylon braided oil lines?

Here's what I did to solve the problem.  I'm reading the oil temp going back in to the case from the filter.

To answer your question about the header temp, assume it's hot enough that it will burn the nylon braided hose.  You can install a heat sleeve over the hose like I have here.

You can do MUCH better on the price than that.  I sell it all day for about $4.50/ft.  Check with your local hos ehouse, they probably stock it.  Wink
