The "Outlaw"

Hello everyone! i guess this shall be my intro thread and build thread. This is a car i started about two years ago. i discovered an ad for a late model car only to find it was an early body on a late pan. At this point i got the car and had a more correct pan for it. I knew the pan was a '61 but i wasn't sure what the body was yet. After doing a lot of looking around i found that it is a '59 shell. So the seach was on for parts (only because i had nothing but a bare shell) to get this thing going. I work at a local VW shop here in colorado under sam or "redwagon" here on the forums. So for the last two years it has been a long journey that is nearing the halfway point. I will go ahead and post some pics from the day of picking it up to almost recent.

I notched them! I love cal look cars but this one shall be very low.

Here is a small update. I recently got my type 4 cooler converstion done. It still needs some clean up and tweaking but its all there and fits like it was OG. And, yes, it is a thing shroud.
