friday i finally got the rims back with tires on them. but 2 of them had the wrong size mounted so i only cold take 2...
anyway happy i returned home and was anxious to have them fitted under the car. i tried to put on the 2 back tires to check clearance. like i stated in an earlier post i have had some trouble fitting the riviera's with only 165 tires. so i jacked up the car and installed the EMPI's. well tried anyway. the problem was that i couldn't bolt them to the drums. as i found out the cups that go in the holes of the rim are to tall. the fit nice but they go to deep. resulting in a rim that is not fixed but bolts that are secured. so big NONO to me.

but what can i do now. i thought about machining the cups off, so they don't reach to far through the holes or do i need some sort of extra washer before i fit the cup?

i tried to take pictures, but alas the battery died the second i put the thing on. maybe later or tomorrow

pictures of your 8 spokes can help greatly

thanks

Hi nicolas are these Real Empi 8 Spokes were talking about?  If the Spacers are to long and go all the way threw the wheel and stick out on the back side you have BRM spacers there about .040 longer then 8 spoke spacers you can have them cut down the should be about .030 shorter then the thickness of the wheel here is a picture of Empi 8 Spoke Hardware

yes that would help. i got my 8 spokes with cups and some kind of lugs. i saw a couple of pictures of the studs, but never realized they were specific items... so i hope that Russell can help me out or someone else who has some spare parts.
