Does anyone have information on these valve springs? I need to know what the install height should be and what pressure the would be at installed at 1.630 inches.

I know Berg has the info but I don't think they are open this week end.

Thanks,

Hi,
on an used set,  i've  around 90 lbs at this IH ,
coil bind between .866" and .900" on a set of 8,and around 450lbs  at  .10" before coil bind

a new set might give little more pressure

are you sure you have the GB 272A springs? 90 lbs at IH is way to light for these. I am looking for 175 lbs at IH. They are the Chevy type 1.437 OD dual spring.

Hi,
yes i'm sure ,i've got 2 sets from Vincent my buddy for his engine i'm building at this time,
 pics talks more than words:
pressure@1.63"

overall length not installed, not huge, and that's the problem!

coil bind/elastic limit =500lbs

as i said before , pressure @ 1"(0.1" before CB) is around 450lbs,but there's some difference between each spring ,especially on coil bind

sometimes it's more easy to find some Berg chevy retainers (.1" taller) ,and put K800 on,
it's depend the available length between heads and retainers, and valves length too

it seems no of the chevy style stuff is available from Berg and they don't see having any made in the near future. I put some CB .200 longer valves in and some PSI ct1225 springs and Ti retainers.

What do the Bergs stock or continue to have made anymore? It seems (from what is mentioned on various forums) that the products on which they built their name are rarely available or just plain NLA.
