Happy Birthday to my best friend of forty years! It's been an honor for four decades of surfing, skateboarding, and cars, Bob... I hope we can get another forty more.

Bob Rey is responsible for finding my first Cal Look Bug in '79 (orange '66 and blue '67) and my current one in '08. He's owned over a hundred cars and many of those were really nice VWs that he's built. Including Dave McNew's Squareback back in the early eighties. His current '67 Cal Look Bug is under construction.

Well, we ran into a problem, I was going to spray the car White so we bought white primer but now that we've switched to Nutria brown I have to respray it with a grey or darker primer incase we get a chip you won't notice as much... In between all this my better half wanted a new kitchen Shocked that just got completed 2 weeks ago. So I'm back on the car, hopefully we'll get'er done soon Smiley
