I thought I had one somewhere so had a dig around and found it,and it turns out it is metal,so are the real ones plastic or metal or both? how else can you tell?

Me and chris were talking about that last week. Empi made plastic ones and can be seen in all the catalogs but they made metal also which according to what we've read 66-67 only model's take the metal ones with the pin's
