Hi Folks!

I have a problem with my 46 IDA‘s. The accelerator jets are leaking at idle.
What I´ve tried: New gasket set, new float valve, check the float level and the floats itselfs.
If i hold down the pump control lever #29 it stops leaking. There is little wear at these parts: Pump control rod#4 and pump control lever #29. I can‘t feet any wear at the throttle shaft inner bearings.

The IDA‘s sit on a 1914cc motor.

What can i do? Help my out!

It´s only a small Mitsuba fuel pump, and and the jets leaks as long is fuel in the float bowl without running the fuelpump! Last year with excatly the same setup, the problem wasn't there.

are you running a presure regulator? What's it set to? If not check the resure rating on the pump.

you need to clean the fuelchambers and the needle. small debris can cause this. do you run a filter?

Had this issue come up on my 48's, and changed accel pump exhaust jet from closed to 50. Fixed dribbling squirters.
Yes I had to change idle and main fuel jetting

Had this a few times , was the pump jet rod vibrating at idle , fixed it by putting a sleeve over the rod
where it exits the bottom of the carb , just long enough so that it sits against the throttle cam , so at
idle the cam sits against the sleeve and dosnt activate the pump jet. If that all makes sense Smiley
