i'll play as well.

i am currently building a street engine for my type 3. so all type3 cooling and tinware and under the lid.

it has a 78 DMS crank (the one i got from Ratto years and years ago) finally being put to good use.
90.5 pistons B's (hence me needing one) the case was machined for 90.5's otherwise it would be 94's without a doubt.
an FK44 with 1.25's if needed i can upgrade it with a new set of pushrods and 1.4's, but i am confident this will work out just fine
a CR of 10 on european 98 octane will hopefully do.
my trusty 42DCNF's on the reworked heads with 40X35 valves (originally los bandits, but reworked at Stevesvwshop)
all machining done in my free time at work and hopefully in the fastback very soon to get the car out and drive!

Who likes nice "driveable" torque around town? My 205/70 getting punished for their sins, engine spec was in my previous post.

That car NEEDS a roof chop, then it would look just like the Mike Lawless Cal-look.com t shirt! My first thought was Lil Snort, then rollcage, then chop it! Ace! Grin

Well, the Dynomite is rather accurate when calibrated right, so what you see there is about what you have. IŽd say that 170 hp with a W120 cam as a base is pretty nice. The peak torque is higher in the rpm than I would have expected, but the heads obviusly flows well.
Its a tad lean for my taste, but it makes good power there.
