So, I've sat on this thing for 6 months or so but now it's underway.....
Only just a mile or so down the road from CustomMotorBodies is Fellows Speed Shop, so the guys there have done a great job on the light mechanical restoration this car needed, gunky old fuel tank stripped inside and out & repainted, all new fuel lines etc, carbs rebuilt, engine fully checked over/ serviced, new master cylinder and full brake overhaul, nothing major, no nasty surprises and the car is running/driving very nicely (for a lowered type3!)
It seems like the engine had had a fair bit of work in the past.... The heads have been extensively worked on and have pretty big valves apparently...

I got the trade plates on, and for the first time drove it over to CustomMotorBodies where we can start getting it looking its best once again...
It felt good getting rid of those awful flames.....

Stay tuned people!

Is this the same car from colin burnams book?  Fellows speed shop , is that the same place that offers brake disc set ups too?
