Setting the Clearance for AL pushrods is an art -- but it is mainly finding out how your engine and pushrods react with each other....
The starting point is zero lash, and go from there.... Some engines require zero plus tightening a extra 1/4 turn, some require loosening a 1/4 turn. My 2989 requires zero plus a 1/2 turn. One of the Promod Engines I know of is at zero plus 1 1/2 turns -- These are all on type 1 engines, your type 4 might be different.
