Just another old bus...............

So, when my wife and I got married, we drove from the church in my 1931 Model A Roadster, but there were a bunch of VW's following..........Steve Makepeace's Split, Russ Welch driving what would become Davey and Goliath, my other '62 ragtop and this bus. All full of friends.

We never hesitated to drive the crud out of it............taking it on camping trips (this photo is of our first anniversary trip up the coast to Santa Cruz and back), driving Japanese exchange students to a Dodger game (!) and a bunch of other tomfoolery. It had been lovingly preserved by the first two owners, the second a woman in San Francisco who had a BERG 1776 and geared tranny built and installed. It was loud but fun. Good times.
