Anyone Ran Weber 46IDAs Before?
«

Was thinking of building up my 82mm SPG crank motor for a hot street motor soon for our Bus. Not going to run it on the strip or anything, but was wondering whether anyone has used the 46IDA before? Obviously, the bore is slightly smaller than the 48, but it's no race motor so I am not fussed. I have a whole bunch of chokes, so can set it up for pretty much any combo. Would anyone recommend going for a third progression hole? Or would that be sacrelegious? I am looking at 2180cc and an FK8 cam and some Fumio heads.

What? 600? Why would you only want to buy one?

As far I know they are pretty rare - I know Kobus has had his hands on a few sets so he may know alittle more - its funny you talk about doing a 2180 with an SPG as I have been thinking about doing one for a while, these sound like a pretty good little combo
Any more details dude
Also don't surpose you fancy selling those Race Trim manifolds

Never heard of 46 IDA's.
But if not gonna race the engine why use IDA's.
I would go with a 48 webers or dells,my 2 cents

Dells would be a much better choice for the street, but IDAs look the Badger's Nadgers.

I once found a pair of weber 46 jtms on ebay, they are the carbs from a late model 4 cam 356 engine. Not surprisingly I think they went for a couple of thousand dollars, but they would be cool on a veedub engine as long as they could be made to work. I like the sound of those 46's, just a little bit different, cool intakes as well!

Joe... I sold my last pair to Clarkey for his own motor, but he then sold them on again I think. Does he need another pair? Matt Keene
