Hi Guys.
So turbo pinging is hard to get rid of,especially in this weather.
Been tinkering with timing. inital/total and boost retard using a 034 dizzy and a dual vac can (Boost retard only).No vac advance.
Ive limited the total to 24#
Inital is 15#

The 24 total is at 3000 revs
Boost starts at 2500 revs
The motor starts to ping just before the vac can retards the timing,just for a second or so, then when the boost retard has done its thing the engine is fine, no ping at 1 bar with water in this heat.
So my idea is to lower the 24 total and raise the 15 inital timing. The engine seams to like more inital timing too due to low comp and non turbo high duration cam.
what do you think.
