Can you help? Trying to locate this Karmann Ghia drag racer, "Makin' Bacon", driven by Mason "Army" Armstrong at tracks throughout the south in the mid-seventies. Army went on to become a NHRA drag racing announcer (NHRA Hall of Fame) and more recently announcer for the Monster Truck series.

"Makin' Bacon" won it’s class at the SPORTSnationals in Bowling Green, Kentucky in 1974

Did the Ghia survive in another life, or does it rest in someone's backyard or barn? If you have photos taken when it was racing or where it now rests, please post or PM me with details. Army would very much like to discover his Ghia drag racers afterlife. [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ] [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]
