Hey guys, I bought a Magneto off of EBay. It was advertised as a Joe Hunt, but when I received it I could not find any Joe Hunt markings on it anywhere Angry. Instead I found a Scintilla badge Undecided. I can send it back but wanted to know what you guys thought. Here is a link to the auction ...

Charged me $180.00 which they replaced the coil, points, recharged it,locked the advance, new cap,new tag, and they turned the casing so it looked Spun like a brand new one when I got it back.  Grin Grin Works and Looks Great"

I would bitch. It was advertised as a Hunt, and it clearly isnt, bottom line.

Who says its not been reworked by Hunt?
What you need is a receipt to prove it.

I would hold onto it. The cap cover alone is pretty cool. Good luck finding another one of those, probably worth as much as a used magneto alone. I would not doubt that the mag was reworked by Joe Hunt. They have reworked four or five for me. I always have them leave the original badge on the magneto as you will never get another one.  The fact that it is polished is also something they do for extra money. It was a good deal, keep it.
