That looks like it was taken right off the 5 freeway in Tustin (just north of Sand Canyon and old OCIR), east side of the freeway.

Your right, Fabs....it was great getting to see Doug again.  As Keith mentioned, Doug has had some health issues recently that have set him back a bit.  One issue was losing an eye to a rare form of cancer last year which has kept him out of a car at night (no depth perception).  Others that came to visit were the Lazenby's, Haydon's, Jim Holmes, Ron Fleming and Lynn Fleming.  Here's the group courtesy of Jim Holmes...

Thanks, guys and sorry to horn in on Keith's thread...that IS a cool pic of Ron's car.  I have to say, you don't know what your missing if you've not heard Ron spin some of his tales from the past (especially after the booze kicks in Grin)...just the best!  At one point in their lives, Ron, Doug Gordon and Stan Davis all shared the same apartment together  Shocked Roll Eyes Grin

You'll just have to hire one of those "courtroom stenographers" to type the entire conversation next time Ron is "talkative" and then transcribe it here !

Funny you should say that, Richard, but I am sitting here looking at four closely typed pages of transcript of an interview I did with Ron 12 years ago telling the story of how he got started with FAT and went drag racing with the Underdog! My problem now is that I cannot get my optical character recognition (OCR) software to play ball with my scanner so I can turn typed pages into a Word document! Roll Eyes

I was lucky enough to meet Ron for the first time at Bad Camberg last year, I was amazed at how forthcoming he was with tales and info, even with the stuff he is doing today with Mike Hunsaker. He spoke with us for ages was real friendly it was really cool, he seems a very decent guy, I just wish I was as lucky as you guys to know him so well.

Hey Sarge, you obviously never have anything to do at work (I thought being the janitor would have taken up more of your time...) so maybe I should send it over to you to type in... Cheesy Kiss
