Do you guys have any ideas to keep my cats off my original paint black 67? Everyday I come out to new scratches and muddy kitty paw prints all over. I've got a BB gun but my GF wouldn't appreciate 4 dead cats in the driveway. I've thought about positively charging the car somehow so if they touch it and ZAP! Again, I don't think my GF would like that.

Any ideas? I can only sick my dog on them when I notice them.

Maybe I need to elaborate. I drive this car everyday and park it outside. A car cover is not really practical.

Sure it is. It just takes dedication. You have to keep the car clean and cover it at night.

It's amazing how much wax covers up.

You could try a trail of liquid ammonia around it, they hate it, or purchase some coyote urin, ( not kidding). That should make them go elsewhere.

Take the cats for a ride! A few hard corners, some hard acceleration and braking... and they'll stay away. Wink

I knew a guy who put his car in long term storage in his garage. His cat would sneak in and sleep in it. When he took it out, the upholstery was shredded. Guess after a nap the kitty liked to sharpen his claw on the cloth seats.  Cheesy

Another story, back when I had my 71 and still lived at home I had an Siamese/tabby mix that loved to sit in the car while I worked on it. Only problem was he didn't want to leave when I was done. He would bow up and hiss at you if you tried to pick him up. (Cat was mean as hell and crazy to boot.) This led to more than a few cuts and scratches trying to get him out of the car so I could take it for a test drive.  Grin

My girlfriend has four of them! One has decided that she's just going to wander the hous shrieking at all hours of the day and night - little cat, big noise. Another will try to sharpen his claws on anything that ISN'T his scratching post. Sofa, bed (when you're in it...), your leg, anything! Cheesy
