and some more
It sure looks like you've cheaped out and cut corners... Wink Wink

Ha, Its no show car, But i kept it so i could use it without having to worry, I will probably do my 65 bug more show.  The driveline in the 79 was bulit with one thing in mind, speed. I thought i had never seen a fast 79 vert, so why not?

Lanny, your car is awsome, gives me somthing to work towards with my 65. I will have to contact you about some products that i think you should make.

Thanks Ray, Yup, I'm a firm believer of detail. It will take away from any flaws the car may have. The wheels are all 6" late Fuch's. Thinking of taking my front ones and having them narrowed to 4 1/2". It's a whole lot cheaper than getting the early ones which I won't mind having. Will see how they come out.

Thanks for the kind words, Dave!  I have to say, I really miss having an IRS...that car went straight as a string on the freeway and handled the curves even better.

Don Metz (D.K.P.) built this incredible convertible in the early '80s. The pictures don't do it nearly enough justice. You've gotta see this car in person to fully appreciate it. To this day, it's my favorite and most tastefully done 'vert late model.

Note the Aussie style tail lights and (I think) bumper rubber/insert/packing. GOOD STUFF, whatever it is. Guessing that I took these pictures at the last Bug-In held at O.C.I.R.

Beautiful car Ted. I pointed that car out to Jim Ratto at Drag Day in October.

When I first noticed this car I fell in love. Not sure what does it for me, could be the colour or perhaps the tires..... not that it matter - I like it!
Have you seen this video of this car? A clutch slippin, granny shifting 10.42 at 129 mph.
