Hello

I'm Dimitrios from Greece, first time that I post here, as I didn't noticed a dedicated place for newcomers I thought to write down here for the first time. I own a 1303 74 germanllok style -sorry for this!- which is on the works. In 2007 was the first time for me to be present at the JPM;s dynoday and since then I'm addicted to hot vw's! I feel very glad to find you all in this very exciting-high tech site dedicated to aircooled VW's and hope to enjoy it everytime I log in as the first time did. Cheers to all

Hello FDK

sorry I haven't got any pictures for now, in the next days I;m planning to take some, the car is a 1303 converted to 74 with rack and pinion, waits for a T1 2387 engine from JPM with EFI, the gearbox is prepared by JMR with all the goodies (big type2 axles, quaife lsd, s.beetle main shaft, shorter 3rd and 4th etc), 944 knucles on the front with PCCB brakes, 944 steel rears with PCCB brakes, MBT pedal setup, H&R coilovers front, MBT coilovers rear, uprated antiroll bars f+r, 5bar kafer brace setup, in the interior heigo six point cage, recaro speed seats and an Audi TT dashboard I want to cut and install in it. It needs though a lot of personal work which will be held in this summer as I have rented a new place to work in. As soon as I have some pictures I'll upload them

Hello

thanks for kind words, actually those throttle bodies are for my mate, he owns the second car we're working on, it will be also of the same specifications but more "wild" in appearance, as it is wider with alum rear trailing arms and hand made body kit with lot of carbon inserts all round, very unique and very "to be discussed" as it is the kind of body kit that you like or hate from the first sight. My car will be more "civilized" in the exterior with Kerscher gfk parts and will be using Johannes F1 style throttle bodies (with the oval shape port), really feel that I should post some pics as soon as I have time to get them..

Hello

just made some photos today with my mates camera, just now saw that the date is set way far in the past..this is my mates car, the second one that we're building, this one will be equiped with JPM's throttle bodies, unfortunately as you can see all the body work is custom made and takes a looooot time to be built, I hope that until this summer we'll make a big progress with it. Please feel free to make any suggestion for change-improvement as the car is anyway in building process, it might be included in the final stare of the car. I'll search to find some pics also from my car to post as soon as I have time

running boards with carbon fiber inserts

3piece speedlines custom painted

the back of the car is still pronounced as the front appears here but is missing from the car, it ends in a F430 style difussor

the air inlets on the tale are working leading the air inside the engine compartment

Hehe That car was a bit over the top for my taste, especially the front bumper.  Wink
But with the power his JPM engine will deliver he will have the power to match the outrageous looks.
You wont find many followers of the look on this forum, since its based around the pure cal-look/gasser look.
But I bet you will find some followers of the look at www.germanlook.com

But PLEASE keep us updated on your engines...  both of them  Wink Grin

Hello

JHU thanks for the advice, I agree with you totaly about the front bumper, I told so to my mate that is way too much, about the non followers I actually took a taste in the "in da werks" section where I begun a thread -1303 GL #2-. the people commenting there are 100% right, but I was too keen to listen some real opinions and this is why I begun it. So I ask you kindly as a moderator to remove at all the thread at that "in da werks" section as it is not representative of this dedicated cal look site and I'll keep you updated instead as far as the engines concerns..

Hello

here are some specs of the engines

1) T1 AS41 mag case clearanced, shuffle pinned, linobored for T4 mains (the one that will be built by Johannes)

86mm Scat flanged crank T4 mains and matching flywheel
94mm JE pistons (JPM job nr)
LN engineering alum nickies
Scat 5,7 rods chevy diam
JPM engle cam
Udo lightweight lifters
Manton dual tappered pushrods
JPM heads, rockers, inlets, F1 throttle bodies
Dry sump system with two stage pump
Exhaust stainless steel 4-1 header custom made by Turbo thomas
Porsche style cooling and matching central airbox
crank triggered ignition
Motec M400 unit

Hopefully we would like to see something like 220-230HP as we probably we'll have to go with a "moderate" 10 or 10,5:1 comp. ratio because of the enormous heat of Greek summers (last year we had 5 days in the row with the temp above 44oC! below shaddow).

2) T4 71mm X 103mm std case
This one has pretty much std internal with all the jobs needed as far as machining, and feautures also

103mm JE pistons
LN engineering alum nickies
Web cam 86C (if I recall correctly)
2.0 head castings worked by Johannes with some pretty amazing flow numbers (do't recall them right now)
JPM throttle bodies (the ones pictured by Johannes on this site somewhere)
extra 1,5 lit sump
BAS 4-1 exhaust kafer cup (the old good one..)
Porsche style cooling and matching central airbox
crank triggered ignition
Motec M400 unit

Hopefully we would like to get about the same (well a little bit less maybe) horsepower numbers.

As you understand I'll have to ask Johannes nicely when he starts building the T1 engine (in a couple of weeks or so) to share with us some photos, hope that you convience him too to do so!
