We can't force ya to have fun

« on: June 27, 2008, 17:28:53 pm »

I know we have a lot of knowledge here so I'm gonna tap into it. My boss is looking for a bolt for his motorcycle but he hasn't been able to find it. Its a 10mm socket head about 30mm long but what is making it hard to find is that the pitch is 1.25. He needs 10 of them. I've check all my local hardware stores and can find a ton at 1.50 pitch but that won't work for his project.

Thanks!

Assuming it's M10 (Fine) x 30mm you're after, here you go!

Try MSC or McMaster-Carr.

www.MSCDirect.com

www.mcmaster.com

There's also an all-metric company, but their book is out in the garage.  I can check later if you don't find what you need.

D.B.O. Not a club; a state of mind.

Right on, Rick... I've been gone most of the day with my older son. (Took his D.M.V. test today; he passed and now has a permit!) I was gonna suggest McMaster-Carr or Cal-Aero. Both places are awesome and stock vast quantities of cool hardware and fasteners.

Yay me!  Seriously, I always check there when I need stuff like that and am rarely disappointed.  MSC is also great, but has less of the "hardware" type stuff.  Plus they have a warehouse about 15 miles or so from here I can just go pick up.
