I think this is it. It might be Scott Bakken's (Carlos's) They are so similar.

Now that I look, Larry didn't have the passenger mirror or the Monster tach, other than that they are clones.

Sweet pictures. I really dig the vanagon camping experience.
My mom had one when I was a kid and I recall something resembling barnacles growing in it....or was that her Chevelle?

wow John that is an OLD picture, taken probably before I knew Dorman that well (way before we started the club). Frank befriended Sean while I was living in Quincy CA on my one year hiatus from BH, and when I moved back Frank told me there was some dude that thought he wanted to make a fast Bus and that drank as much as we did, obviously I had to meet this guy. Later I found out it was Dorman, who before I met and got to know, was known to a friend of mine as a thief. What a lie. Sean was probably one of the coolest guys I had the pleasure of hanging out with. We had a few college classes together later on and always managed to get kicked out for some reason. Sean's '65 Bus eventually ended up with the hot 1914 from Frank's red '67, although we detuned it with smaller heads, Kadrons and no more K8. Still, it ran well.
I'll see if I can dig up some more old pictures and newsletters from the club, and the monthly mailer from BH.
Share some more pics, John.

Thief? Hmm i bet I know who said that! Actually I've been tryiing to track you down so I could get my Who-Live at the Isle of Wight cd back!

Man those were fun days. I still have the club sticker on my bus and even found a few newsletters and my shirt. That pic of Frank next to the bus (66 SO-44 Westfalia) was taken at the Ancil Hoffman get together before Sac BOR in maybe 94 or 95. I think that may have been when i had the 1914 but i'm not sure. I rreally wish we had some pics of the Death Valley trip we took. Remember the looks on all the faces behind the wheels of Land Rovers when they saw a bus full of nut jobs barreling up that road? Not quite the speed of light but that bus moved pretty good.

i have your cd!
yeah that Death Valley "trip" was the work of true maniacs. Thinking back....modded swingaxle bus, used dual carbs, no sleep, beer o'plenty and myna birds stacking croutons in moonlight.... we should have hitched a ride w/ the Land  rover guys
