Jim,
I bought my Pirelli's from their source in the UK-Longstone tyre. They are indeed very nice tires! No longer made in Italy, but in another country of the Medeteranian region.
Longstone was amazingly quick in their delivery of my order from the UK to Nevada.
The downside is that their 155 and their 185 differ in tread design.
If they(as well as Lucas Tire) offered CN=36's front and rear, they'd have the game won!

I work close to that place. I'll have to stop in and check out their tire selection. Thanks, Jim.

Hey Fred,
Let us know what you find out on the CN36 Pirelli's. I used to run them on all 4 corners on a 1970 911E I had years ago. I ran a pair on the back of one of my cal look cars too.

Copy that, Rick. I'll stop in there on the way home from work, one afternoon, when I'm not hitting the skateparks.

You could try:
www.reifendirekt.de
or
www.autobandenmarkt.nl
,or better get in touch with Jeroen. He has "link" to a dutch classic tyre dealer...

I, too, purchased the same tires as Steve. The 155's up front are CN67's and do have a different tread pattern from the rears, but, to me, are as close as one can get to the tires that were run back in the day. They are tube only, made in Turkey, and have a nice quality sidewall thickness and tread. We'll see how they feel soon, hopefully this weekend.
Did it hurt to pay (when Steve and I bought them, they were somewhat less expensive) that? You bet, but the look is right.
