Scott, it was very nice to meet you in person at the cruise... As for your car, enjoy the win! You earned it!

Absolutely beautiful & well done.

I have to comment on the engine... I think simply perfect sums it up Grin

I had quite a weekend. Thursday night we went to  Irwindale raceway and watched a load of VW's run. Russell was there with "The Italy I". Friday, Dustin and I started off at West Coast Classic VW hosted by Lenny Copp. Great looking cars and buses. Russell and Keith were there with Russells newly acquired Ghia that was previously owned by Doug Mische. Russell did a great job getting it looking good for The Classic. We then shot over to Roger Crawfords Heads Up Performance shop that was not far from Lenny's. Great food and some nice race cars on display. The next stop was Nick's Burgers. We got there at Noon and it was already getting packed. By 3:00 it was jammed and so was the huge parking lot across the street. The best part of the night for me, was when they announced my name as DKP Members choice award. What an honor!! Saturday morning was a quick trip to Cars and Coffee in Irvine. We ran into Keith and Russell once again. John Lazenby was there with one of his Bitchen Chryslers. Ron Fleming and Greg Brinton, Mark(DKK Fred) were there. I met Frenchy there also. Then a special treat... while a few of us were standing around my Ghia, Barry Meguiar host of Car Crazy and owner of Meguiar's car care products, came over to look at my car! I got my picture with him and Frenchy took some video.( Hoprfully he will post that). After leaving Cars and Coffee, Dustin and I shot over to Jaycee Enterprises for their open house. More cool race cars and street cars. Then of course today was the Classic at Irvine. I was invited to roll with the DKP club members to the event. Like I said, I had quite a weekend. Thank You to all the DKP members.

Scott, like I've told you all weekend... CONGRATS on the D.K.P. Cruise Night win. And rightly so. What a fun weekend of fun, great people, and awesome Cal Look cars. So much goodness all wrapped up in such a small amount of time. One of the best highlights was watching you and Barry talk about your car. That made driving to Cars & Coffee all the more worthwhile. Enjoy that gorgeous car of yours. Best Ghia I've seen since Frenchy's, Kevan Wood's, and Tod Fuller's.

Your win at Nick's was well deserved, Scott.  There were plenty of quality cars to choose from but yours fit best as to what DKP is all about.  Well done! Cool

Congrats Scott on your beautifull ghia as soon as I saw your car I wanted to go home and start on my ghia. The coffee and donut hang out is a great one to attend if you never had the chance to see some of the most unusual cars you will see in one area. Once I spotted Barry Meguiar I had called him over if he would not mind to have a picture of Scott taken with him. Barry came by and we took a few pictures I also decided to take a video of Scott and Barry together walking around the ghia as Barry was asking Scott questions about his car. As soon as Barry open the driver's door I tought for sure he was going to take it for a drive Barry was really out of it as he was looking at the ghia how nice this car was put together. Barry talked to Scott for at least 10 minutes.

  Thanks

Cool pics, Frenchy and Sarge! I got one of those Laguna Beach invitations, the last time I brought my '67 to C&C. I'm actually thinking of entering that.
