Too bad that Mexican Beetles are expensive to bring up to D.O.T. standards. They can't be that much money to buy. I'd love to Cal Look one.

There is a car like the silver one parked in my street every day, but is is champagne/bronze coloured. Nice  And give it wheels and the stance and I believe it would make for a marvelous very late looker.

Haven't seen the owner yet, it's a student, probably sleeps by day, parties  ...eeerr, studies by night

Too bad they stop building it, but can someone have imagined in the 30's that you could buy a new one 70 years later ! I think it's something that will never happen again in the industry. And I don't talk aboutthe New Beetle or the Golf, they produce it since 35 years, but what a '74 mk1 and a '09 mk6 have in common ?

I think the white one was a taxi prototype. The longest door on the right is to help people coming inside.
