I was looking at Summit's for a suitable 2" muffler for a type 1 merged header.
Should I order a muffler with centered inlet/outlet or offset inlet/outlet??
What do you run and what brand??

Thank's

go for offset one in my opinion if You don't like big muffler sticking out.
If You like big box sticking out behind the car go for muffler without offset wth holes in center.
Don't You wanna use sme of the propper made mufflers? Good choice is a stainless steel one - wil last for ever Cheesy
I have a VWSPEEDSHOP (whole system with 1 5/8" headre)  and I'm really happy with it.
Fits perfect, sounds grate and the most important thing... it doesn't go louder afther 1000 miles as the cheep one's do. I drove few thousend km with that muffler and its just perfect (eaven in everyday use and in big tris like Poland to uk and back Cheesy)

cheers
Tom.

I'm praying to the gods that somebody finally produces a dual quiet pack with a big ass flange and tubes so I don't lose HP...

As far as I know there are only DQP's for silly little headers, if I'm wrong, please put the link here!

Sorry if I hijack your post but it's also a muffler question.  Wink

I think CSP has some new DQP I've seen them some where on lounge. I think thunderbird is making DQP with big flange but don't know the pipes diameter I'll chech their catalogue.

thx tom!
CSP models are not for merged headers and too small.  I checked them at EBI.  I need 1 3/4 flange at one a clock and big tubes to the mufflers.  I'm demanding, I know.  Grin
