wondering about internal tricks,
if it works or not.. i wont know since i really havnt been around the block unlike most seasoned chaps here hehe
i see cranks like DPR/demello being heat treated etc.. i wonder is this on the main and rod journals only.. to make the surface tough
or is it the whole crank, and is it like nitriding , which i think is 0.040" deep or sumthing.. the treatment..
i ask
cuz i find it interesting, polishing the outers of the crank/counterweights etc and rods, to subsequently minimize oil cling
not sure if most hi-po builders do it or has done it, and if its beneficial, at what point, ( i know it wont do squat driving around 3k rpm)
hope we can discuss it, seeing veterans here , specially JPM, myt have sum cool tidbits to share,
