It's a late '67 car, well it was registered late - after July. Did you check the chassis number.

Just from the pic I am guessing it will need heater channels, front lower door hinge, inner front fender areas (filch panels?), rear window area repairs. I bet the package shelf is shot too. Not to mention a new one year only pass side door. Its up to you how much time vs money you have to put into it. I know I am gun shy about rust after a few really bad experiences with it. It is why I saved up and had a really nice car shipped from a drier area. On the other hand, I have seen some truly amazing things done to save cars in worse shape.

It needs pretty much everything, but it is what it is...
Too much for me though this time - hopefully someone else can save it - it would be a shame to break it all up or would it...

The right question is : "To spend or not to spend ?" If it's a low price and if the car is complete and not too rusty, i think that you could buy it : 67 RHD is a rare model ! Cheers,

I do think it's funny that the Californians and Arizonans say run, but that IS a good project car over here! Most of the cars being parted out on thesamba are minters compared to what we've got!

well put neil! i started off with a '67 much like that one save for the rust under the windows, but the only original parts now are the rear decklid and the sunroof. a right royal f*ck up it is, 6 years down the line i'm still working on some issues.

This is a simple answer, really. It very much depends on how much you want the car and how much that you're willing to spend on it. When I first looked at the picture, I envisioned it restored to it's former glory, as equipped, but with a mild Cal Look treatment and huge engine. Money and time are the deciding factor. The picture obviously doesn't show all of the damaged components within the vehicle, too. So it could run up quite a bill. Again, ask yourself how much you're willing to spend on it. If not, move on and get something that you're more comfortable with.

Just think how nice that car will have seemed compared to what will be available in 10 or 15 years. Anybody want to send me a set of bumpers like those?

If you are prepared to invest in car, have some money and knowledge - than go and save her up ! Regards, Doc P.S. my VW 1300 was in simmilar shape in summer of 1999, and now is stillon the road waiting for a restoration that will start this year...
