If you get the go ahead, I'll have one. Although reckon it would look better on the back of a t-shirt than the front IMHO.

I really wish they were available, would love to have one. Seriously doubt the copyright would work out though.

I'll drop Deano a line for sure to see how the copyright thing would work , see how much interest we get on here first .
Not too interested in making money out of it just thought it would be a very cool thing to be able to offer the guy's on here  Wink Cool

Well, gang, is this a big problem. There have been several other people print up this design without our permission, which really is a piss-off. They never asked, just did it. And when we called them on it, they just ignored our calls and kept right on. Nice. I won't mention any names, but they are on this forum from time to time...

To get to the question, the California Look logo belongs to Hot VWs, and the VW Bug drawing belongs to Burly Burlie and Hot VWs. Neither one can be used without our written permission. And at this time, we are not licensing anyone to use it. Sorry. Hot VWs just released a new T-shirt using that California Look logo at the VW Classic.

So, thanks for asking first, as that is way it is supposed to be done. Dean Kirsten

Oops! Grabbed my avitar off the internet, found it on a Google search. Hope this doesn't violate the copyright laws, I'm not using it for profit! Will gladly remove it if so.
As Deano said, Hot VW's has a new Tee shirt with the logo on the front. I picked one up at the Classic, very well done with the Tar Babe and the Jim Holmes sedan on the back.
Where can guys get them now Deano? Will there be an ad in the magazine?

I'm guilty of making 24 shirts about 7 years ago. They had the drawing in the back and the logo in the front. I gave most of them away to friends, ended up loosing money (profit wasn't my motivation), but it's still my favorite shirt Smiley Sorry if I pissed anyone off, but I have plan to redeem myself Wink

61SNRF, Don't worry about the avitar, it's cool if you use it for that purpose .... And Zach, it wasn't you that I was talking about...

The new Tar Babe and Jim Holmes T-shirt is available from our sub department over the phone or e-mail. Go to our web site and there should be a link to them. There will be an ad in the Sept issue for this new design. (I think we are going to make a few changes in the next run of that design ).... hint, hint..

I apologize for the post hi-jack........I will be coming out with a shirt very soon (picking up the finished hi-res artwork today) that hopefully will appeal to the Cal-look / Performance VW enthusiast.  When I get the shirts made I would like to preview them on this site first.  Coming soon.......

Yeah, I remember that. FYI, the original California Look logo artwork was to have a drawing of a lowered Bug on it as well, but the artist, Lane Evans decided not to include it on the final version. On that art, you can see where he placed it, but never did the finish work...

Looked, but never found the spot on HotVWs website for the recently desinged and made shirt.
Was going to order one but ....

Deano, do you have a link?

Thanks,
