Hi there,

I'm building an 2.4 Oxyboxer (76x100mm) with Limbach Heads (Intake 42mm/Exhaust 37,5mm), 1,25 Rockers and
i really have big problems with choosing the right cam  Grin
It is for a streetuse, and has to be reliable, but not to calm.
Carbs will be 45 or 48 DRLA.
I read every thread about FK8/FK10/FK87 and Webcam, but i still havent made my choice.
Can anyone show me the differences in quality and behaviour between 86c and FK87 ?

Thanks !

Nick

no idea about the difference,
the cams are quite the same, but they are made to use with 1.4 rockers

Nick -- The ladies at Web cam are the greatest people on the face of the earth AND really some of the most knowledgeable about Cams and how they work in different applications. They designed the cam for the Fiat 2165 engine and also a special cam for my 2919 turbo engine based on the 86b and 86c grinds. They (WEB) are the cam of choice in the ProStock Motorcycle world. Call or E-mail them and ask for suggestions and you will receive some expert advice. They might approve your choice or steer you in another direction, but make sure you give them your specifics and what you want to do with the car. They do have a lot of guys working there but who the hell wants to talk to a stinky guy LMAO

The absolutly BEST way to experience the ladies is to stop by and ask for the 25 cent tour, they tend to get a little crazy LMAO. They have a ROOM of fame where all the walls in it have pictures of Winning vehicles that have used their cams. Again, great people and they have a great product!!!!!!!!

They grind the profile close then the weld up the lobe with a special rod that makes for a vary hard surface. This prevents the cam from going flat.
The other option is to run a set of light weight tool steel Lifters and the regular cam. These Lifters are hard and slick as they don't wear the cam but rather treat it. The good thing is that you can change your mind later and just throw in another profile and use the same Lifters. No need to mark them for each lobe ether.
If you are interested in a set look on the Samba for add or PM me.
