Enjoyed a light turn out at Nick's, last night, due to the Labor Day holiday weekend. Got to visit fellow Lounge members Jonathan and Damian from England, too. A few images:

Mr. Ratto logged in a lot of miles and engine time. Proper usage of a Cal Looker.

Cleared for take off.

Nice to bring the car out after all these months. My friend John Holleran had a good time meeting everybody and carving Carbon Canyon behind Sarge. The trip back to my place was loud as ever. Thanks for the pics Mark and nice to meet Darren (Gibber) and his wife finally.
Sarge... my linkage is ready for you this time. No mercy  Grin

Fabian, thanks and you're welcome.

Jim, always a pleasure to see you and your car. Stoked that you're getting much use, as usual, out of it.

Tero, there's a lot of info regarding that Crew Cab Type 2, but one of the other DEEKS or Panzers will have to chime in. They know more about it and it's owners more than myself. That's only the second time I've seen it. It's quite nice, inside and out.

Alex lecuga owns it, I made the rear 1/4 panels and replaced nose skin. It is in its finishing stages.

Ah... no wonder the paint/body looks so good. I was admiring it before I shot the picture. Thanks for the info, Danny.

Cheers Jim, sorry we had to duck early- it was a case of late night, followed by an early morning with a little dose of jet lag.

Giibber! You have the best signature on this site, bar none. One of my all time favorite movies, too.

Sorry for the off topic content... back on topic: great picture of the cars.

Jonathan, thanks for the kind words and worry not... I figured the cars weren't going anywhere for awhile. Besides, how often will you and I ever be talking at Nick's?

 Wink

Nice meeting you in person and I hope that your trip was a good one.

Without repeating Jonathan, it was amazing seeing some of the cars ive loved reading about in the magazines and some of the reasons why i love VW's
Also how everyone we talked to was very friendly and super cool.
Some of the stories from back in the day were great to hear especially about the racing.

Cant wait to come back over !

Mark, thanks for the pictures, ill try and post some of my photos up as soon as i can,

Damian

Yeah, I figured that you didn't paint it... otherwise, you would've said something. But the body workmanship still shows.
