What do you think about red wrinkle finish cast valve covers on a ruby red car, with an unsealed engine compartment?

Something like this, just 12 million dollars cheaper  Grin

Classic look. Red, Black, Aluminum and a tasteful amount of Chrome.
The red is subdued though, not too bright or intense. If you can get something like a Ruby Red in a flat Wrinkle finish, that would be my pick.
If you keep the contrasts to a minimum in the spirit of your sample photo it should look just as good.
Too much bright work or flashy trim and it might end up looking like a 50's Hot Rod Wink

I like black better. I sell the red paint to all the Honda guys in town. I guess it`s hard to find.

I once did my Scat tall manifolds in high gloss red and it looked hot against gloss black engine tin/shroud.

I like it.

At this point, I'm in the market for a decent pair of DDS style cast covers and hardware. If the red wrinkle finish turns out weird
looking...no big deal to change back. Same applies to the rest of the stuff that I've been buying in an attempt to make this car at
least semi street able. And to those who chose to opine...Thank You

Bugpack sells very nice heavy finned valve covers.
