As the title says...... Maby a blunt question...

I'm about to restore an old berg pulley (sand blasting, new zink plating and new degree ring). I ordered a new ring but it doesn't seem to stick. There is some kind of substance on it... Does it needs some special treathment (heating) or should i put glue on it?

Kind regards...

If it is a berg degree ring, you need acetone to wet the bonding agent. It needs pressure over night on it.....Jim

Berg says use acetone on pulley to clean it, locate where TDC is, apply acetone to ring to activate the glue on back and apply to pulley. Set pulley face down with something heavy on top of it, leave overnight and install on crank. Hope this helps
