I run a CB Performance rotary 3.5 psi fuel pump. I currently have it wired in from the master cylinder brake light switch
but I have never been 100% happy with this (rush job)

I would like to hear how you guys wired them in, I have heard of using a relay? A toggle switch to turn it on?

Any ideas appreciated!! Smiley

A relay trigered by the ignition switch would be my choice.

Thanks for the reply. How would I wire this set up? Any wiring diagrams out there?

mine is wired to the ignition switch, it comes on when the key is turned, and could be an issue in an accident.  But this is how the wiring diagram said.

Why not wire it so that it stop pumping if the oil pressure drop under a certain level? Even better if you also combine it with a relay that also stop the engine so that it does not continue to run as long as there is fuel in the carbs.
