Hi
I'm looking at converting to 14mm studs and nuts on my 59 5 stud car
do I use a 13mm drill with 14mm tap or 14mm drill with 14mm tap or would you use press in studs ??

First of all, why do you want to convert ti 14 mm? then you have to make the holes in your wheels bigger too.
M14 threads needs a 12.5 mm drill and 14 mm press in studs most likely needs a 14.30 mm drill. If you wan to
convert to 14 mm studs, get the studs first and take the correct measurement.

Ron, if needed they are a bitch to remove/save. But there is the "cool" factor.
Drill and tap, use 8.8 steel thread/rods, and youre done.
Just my 2 cents.

just today I did this modification, pay attention please as I'm afraid you have to try what size drill you want for the press in's and I'm explaining.
20 press in studs exactly from the same batch, same measurs everywhere. Sebro discs front and rear but different batch? specification? the rears were from kerscher fronts from csp. The kerschers needed to be drilled with 14,25mm to fit correctly, the csp were harder to the drilling -probably other cast iron specification- and drilling with 14,25 wasn't enough as noone could be fit, redrilled in 14,5mm and done correctly. So I'm afraid you have to try to every disc or drum from the smaller and going upper if it doesn;t go, hope that helps also

Iv done this loads and used 14mm x 70mm or 50mm press in studs from CSP, the drums have to be drilled to some unusal size which i will get for you, this is the exact size for the splines, if its too small the drums can crack, two large and you wont get the wheel nut off, ever !
