I just got a deal in an empi tach, it's an orange needle one; I'm not sure if I'll keep it (i mean, my fastback is automatic, why would I need a tach  Grin) but I want to test it, there's two different colored wires in the back but not any markings, I'm guessing I hook up one wire to ignition hot and the other to coil negative?

alex on mine there's a black and a green wire , the green goes to the coil and the black to the fusebox
